OUR MISSION
Proclaiming, warning, and teaching everyone with all wisdom, until we all reach unity in faith and in knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ, so that we may present everyone mature in Christ.
OUR VISION
To be a local church that glorifies God by making disciples that transform the nations.
OUR LIFE LONG CHARGE
“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.” (2 Timothy 2:15)
OUR IDENTITY
The GRACE COMMUNITY CHURCH is a non-denominational community of believers, committed to the faithful ministry of God’s Word. We are persuaded, and we are a local church where the Bible is clearly, accurately, and carefully taught from the pulpit and lived out in the community.
OUR PHILOSOPHY OF MINISTRY
The Pastors will endeavour to prepare the congregation to serve effectively in the understanding that “every believer is a minister”. To this end, Ephesians 4:12 is a clear guide “to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.” Therefore, it is not the work of the pastorate to do “all the work”, but instead to equip God’s people for the work of ministry.
OUR CORPORATE CORE VALUES
- Authority of the Word of God: The authority of the word of God as God’s will for us and the basis of fellowship and interactions.
- Loving Care: Being sensitive to the needs of all members, visitors, and our neighbours.
- Outreach and Global Missions: Doing these as a lifestyle and in obedience to ‘The Great Commission’ to reach out to all peoples.
- Life Long Discipleship: This would be done through mentoring relationships, ‘life groups’, or small Bible Study groups and other church ministries.
- Gifted for Service: In recognition of the ‘priesthood of all believers’, all members will be encouraged and developed to be actively involved in the church.
- Centrality of Worship: Worship includes the preaching of God’s word, singing, prayer, communion, and acknowledging God in everything we do.
